Job Description:

The HSSE Advisor is a key member of our QGC HSSE team. The incumbent will be required to provide support on the HSSE aspects for the work activities on site to ensure it is carried out safely with the relevant controls in place and with due regard to the environment.

Some of the deliverables and accountabilities of the role are:


Ensure proper incident management and input.
Manage HSSE tour schedule and close-out of actions.
Conduct regular site visits, inspections, incident reporting, investigations, and close out.
Roll-out training and improvement programs.
Manage queries from Well Engineering management regarding HSSE activities, compliance, incidents, etc.
Monitor, report and follow-up key HSSE indicators from contractors, such as observation cards.
Regularly attend key contractor meetings.
Ensure effective and documented handover. This also includes guaranteeing that work during the hitch is completed, and tasks handover as well as work area are done in a professional manner.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role you will have:


A HSSE technical qualification with significant experience as an HSSE professional.
An understanding of operations processes (production/maintenance) in the oil & gas industry.
A high level of HSSE knowledge teamed with an ability to influence a wide range of field-based staff, from field operation managers to technicians and contractor staff.
Knowledge of Australian regulatory requirements, local procedures and permits, particularly those associated with P&G and WHS.


Crucial to the success of this role is the ability to work effectively in and across multi-functional teams, you will interface with and influence a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Through your strong work ethic, you will be able to drive company performance, multitask and work autonomously.
